The Revolution at Home
A Walking Guide to Rosemont Cemetery
Explore the stories of the soldiers, families, and neighbors whose lives were shaped by the American Revolution through this self-guided walking guide to Rosemont Cemetery.
About the Guide
The Revolution at Home was developed as part of New Jersey's RevolutionNJ initiative commemorating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
Through five featured stops, this self-guided walking guide introduces visitors to Revolutionary War veterans, families, and neighbors whose lives reveal how the Revolution shaped one small Hunterdon County community. Rather than focusing on famous battles or national leaders, the guide explores the everyday experiences of ordinary people whose stories are preserved at Rosemont Cemetery.
Before You Begin
Allow approximately 20–30 minutes to complete the guide.
The tour is self-guided and may be enjoyed at your own pace.
The guide is free to download and use.
Please remember that Rosemont Cemetery remains an active cemetery. We ask all visitors to respect monuments, ongoing services, and the peaceful character of the grounds.
Planning Your Visit
The walking guide begins at the flagpole near the first entrance from County Route 519 (Rosemont-Ringoes Road) and takes approximately 20–30 minutes to complete.
Visitors may pull into the cemetery driveway during their visit. Because Rosemont Cemetery remains an active cemetery, we ask all visitors to be respectful of monuments, ongoing services, maintenance activities, and other visitors while exploring the grounds.
